Sounds Like Women CIC provides music therapy and therapeutic sessions for children and young people from a range of backgrounds, including those with Tier 1 to 4 support needs.
Children and young people accessing the service can either receive support within their own homes, at a chosen venue or at The Baker’s Café in Swindon, where group sessions are delivered on a weekly basis. Online music therapy services can also be offered to individuals who are unable to attend an in-person session. Sessions can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in a small group, depending on the needs of the individual.
Children and young people are referred into the service by their schools, the Local Authority or a referral from families or relatives. Individuals can use the service for as long as is needed.
Staff have a range of qualifications including a Masters in Music Psychotherapy, a Masters in Art Therapy, a Masters in Drama Therapy, Safeguarding qualifications and Counselling qualifications.
