Since September 2020, TeacherActive have been a supplier of both face-to-face and online tutoring services for children and young people aged 3 to 18. The services strive to ensure that those in care or without a formal school placement have access to high-quality education, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful future.

TeacherActive specialise in providing experienced tutors who are skilled in working with children and young people with complex needs, including SEMH requirements, EHCP provisions, and social development challenges, recognising that some learners may have been out of an educational setting for an extended period. They have a tutor-matching process to maximise pupil engagement, with initial sessions focusing on building rapport and understanding each child’s individual learning style, ensuring a personalised approach to their education.

TeacherActive have a database of fully vetted education professionals, as well as a management team that ensures coordination of attendance, timely interventions, and the delivery of structured, high-quality tuition. Their approach is tailored to support short- to medium-term personal education plans, with clear learning targets designed to enhance progress and attainment.

The provision will provide weekly progress reports from tutors and six-weekly reviews in collaboration with the local authority where applicable. TeacherActive strives to ensure that tuition is aligned with each child’s specific needs and EHCP goals where applicable, while tracking their academic progress. Additionally, tutors maintain open communication with parents, providing supplementary resources to support independent study.
