Rebel Training Group LTD provides a range of activities for children and young people aged between 4 and 21, including those with support needs in Tiers 1 to 4.
The Early Intervention Nurture Programme offers a bespoke support package tailored to the unique needs of each young person. Grounded in attachment theory and neuroscience, this nationally recognised intervention prioritises the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children, particularly those who have experienced trauma, neglect, or other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
The programme provides early help assessments and art-based nurture groups delivered as weekly, off site school interventions. An assessment is undertaken, helping to identify and plan for learners’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Strategies are then shared with schools to ensure effective inclusion and support within the classroom environment
Rebel Training Group LTD’s Alternative Provision delivers high-quality instruction in core subjects (Maths, English and Science) alongside PSHE. Students can also benefit from Personalised Tuition Pathways, which align with the National Curriculum and are specifically tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND.
They have an Impact Hub that empowers students through Youth-Led Enterprise and Community Projects where students collaborate in a workplace-style environment, engaging in entrepreneurial and community initiatives. Additionally, they are supported in Supervised Volunteering Opportunities where students contribute to meaningful volunteer projects that support non-profit charities. Activities may take place within the centre or off-site for hands-on experiences, such as digital design, creative projects, fundraising, campaign planning, gardening, or handyman tasks (guided by a Trade Skills Mentor).
The Nurture Programme offers students two core services:
- Nurture Group - Activities include therapeutic art, journaling, PSHE, individualised mental health support (such as talking and drawing therapies)
- Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) Group - character education, yoga and mindfulness, spiritual development through creative RE, and exploration of religion and worldviews through the arts
Students also engage in cultural stories, celebrations, and visits, with enrichment opportunities like visitor personas and interactive activities.
For all Alternative Provision Programmes, the timetable can be fully flexible to meet the needs of the learner, offering one-to-one, one-to-two or small group sessions. The Alternative Provision at Rebel Training Group LTD seeks to prepare students for the next stage in their education, training or employment.
The HAF Programme (Primary and Secondary) addresses a gap in services for secondary-aged students in Swindon, promoting health and wellbeing for children and young people aged 4 to 16. The programme focuses on fostering positive mental health and emotional wellbeing through a wide range of activities, including yoga, mindfulness, therapeutic art, creative projects, youth-led drama, dance, and wellbeing initiatives. By celebrating diversity and culture, students not only gain new skills but also build meaningful friendships.
The staff have experience of working with individuals with a range of learning and support needs and have developed strategies to support these learners, such as visual timetables, writing frames and prompt cards. The curriculum is designed to promote student’s strengths and interests to build their self-esteem and confidence. Staff work with learners both in person and online, to check their understanding and to build supportive relationships and are qualified in various children’s learning and development techniques. Individuals can be referred through a school referral form.
