Blue Sky Learning was founded as an alternative educational pathway for students who find mainstream education challenging due to their social, emotional and mental health needs. They believe in giving students a bespoke, kinaesthetic approach to enable them to access learning at their own pace and achieve success.

Blue Sky Learning strive to support students and to prepare them for the future by providing the framework of the core values, skills and knowledge that they will need to grow both socially and individually into further education and adulthood.

They endeavour to promote positive behaviours and provide support for young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, so they feel inspired and valued to transition into adulthood ensuring lifelong learning continues and is habitual. Blue Sky Learning strives to help students develop into mature, successful young adults, who are supported by staff.

In the past 6 years, they have helped approximately 65% of students return to their mainstream school. For those unable to return, Blue Sky Learning have supported individuals in getting ready and in a better place to move onto their next provision.

All activities are prepared and administered in a way that each student can access them and find success no matter what their ability is. Staff use praise and proximal praise to boost a student’s self-esteem and give them confidence in themselves. Staff are aware of students' particular triggers and take these into account when planning each session.

Blue Sky Learning prides itself on delivering bespoke curriculums, tailor-made to each individual student to include likes and avoid dislikes. Students are offered a varied range of activities to promote and engage them in learning and so they can regain a love for education.
