The Council will broadcast the meeting due to the high level of public interest in the planning application relating to proposed changes at Broome Manor Golf Complex.

The Planning Committee meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street as normal, but other rooms will be made available for members of the public to view the meeting live on screens.

Ninety members of the public will be able to attend or watch the committee meeting at the Civic Offices and those wishing to attend should arrive early by 5.30pm to enable them to sign in.

Anyone who wishes to watch the meeting online can access a streaming link via the meeting agenda page on the Council’s website - https://tinyurl.com/59tad553

Councillor Lawrence Elliott, Planning Committee chairman, said: “We appreciate interest in the Broome Manor Golf Complex planning application will be high next Tuesday and we want to ensure everyone who wants to watch and listen to the committee meeting has the chance to do so.

“We are expecting the meeting itself to be extremely busy, which is why we have made provisions to broadcast the meeting live online. If you would like to attend in person, please arrive early to allow sufficient time for you to be signed in and seated.

“Seating will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, but we would encourage people to watch the meeting online if they are able to avoid disappointment.

“We would also encourage any objectors to the proposal to read the committee papers online in advance.”
