Any resident who wishes to vote by a postal vote will need to make sure they have submitted their application by 5pm on Tuesday, 19 April. For proxy votes, which is when someone casts a vote on someone’s behalf, registrations need to be made by 5pm on Tuesday, 26 April. Further details on how to apply for either of these options can be found by searching ‘ways to vote’ on the Council’s website: www.swindon.gov.uk

Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on polling day. Before going to vote, residents are advised to check where their polling station is, which can be found on poll cards or on the Council’s website via the Find My Polling Station feature. This can be found, along with more information about the forthcoming elections, at: www.swindon.gov.uk/forthcomingelections

Results from the local elections will be published on the Swindon Borough Council website following the count, which takes place on Friday, 6 May.

Residents have until Thursday, 14 April to register to vote if they haven’t already done so. Registrations can be made on the Government’s website at: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
