Work underway to bring University of Bath's iCAST facility to historic Carriage Works
Work is well underway to bring the historic Carriage Works back into use.

Already home to the Royal Agricultural University’s Cultural Heritage Institute, the Grade II-listed buildings will now be a base for the University of Bath.
The university will use one of the units for its Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies (iCAST) which will help create green, sustainable technologies.
Along with Bath, iCAST will also be a home to the University of Oxford and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult’s Sustainability Partnership.
The university presence, along with Workshed in units 3 and 5, means we are well on our way to making the Carriage Works a hub for learning, creative and digital technology industries.
Work will continue, after iCAST is finished in Autumn, to make further units available for commercial use including those that front onto London Street.
Last December further funding was secured for the site with £5m being obtained from the Government’s Towns Fund. This will bring four more units on the site back into commercial use while still staying true to its heritage.
