Recycling box collections to resume
The Council's recycling box collection service will be back to normal from tomorrow (8 February) following a brief period of disruption.

We’d like to thank residents for their patience and understanding over the last week while we dealt with staff shortages in our waste and recycling team and the fire at the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) on Friday (4 February).
If your recycling boxes were due to be collected on 1 February, 2 February, 3 February, 4 February or today (7 February), please store your recycling until your next collection day. If your recycling boxes are already full, you can use sturdy containers from around your home to put any additional recycling out on your next scheduled collection.
If you have large amounts of waste and recycling that you want to dispose of, please book a slot at the HWRC on our website. New slots are added daily: www.swindon.gov.uk/hwrc
