Conservatives hold South Swindon seat

Robert Buckland has been re-elected to represent South Swindon.

The Conservative candidate received 26,536 votes with Labour’s Sarah Church gaining 19,911 votes.

The Liberal Democrat’s Stan Pajak received 4,299 votes following the count at Swindon’s STEAM Museum.

Turnout for the constituency was 69.77% and 247 ballot papers were rejected.
