The Explorer Dome will be making a stop at STEAM on Thursday (15 August) to deliver three exciting sessions within the museum’s Hawksworth Hall.
The Wonder of Space is a fantastic introduction to one of the most inspiring topics. The sessions promise to be an interactive guide to the local neighbourhood and beyond with the opportunity to ask big questions, explore interests and learn how to spot the constellations in the sky.
Swindon-based Altro-Orbis are complementing the event with Virtual Reality. There will be lots of immersive experiences for visitors to choose from including a solar system space tour, a VR Spacewalk, 3D VR painting and an accurate space-themed physics engine.
Sessions take place at 10.15am, 11.30am and 1pm on 15 August and last for approximately one hour.
Once inside the dome, adults and children alike will discover more about the solar system, moon and the sun.
There are just a few tickets of remaining for The Wonder of Space, which cost £5.50 per person. The event is suitable for adults and children age 4 years old and above. Due to limited capacity, tickets must be booked in advance.
Anyone attending the Wonder of Space sessions can also buy an admission ticket to STEAM itself. Parents can also benefit from the museum’s great value Kids for a Quid offer, running throughout the summer holidays.
