Organised by the Council’s Fostering Team, the evening saw carers enjoy a delicious meal, awards presentation and a live band.

The evening was opened by the Mayor of Swindon Councillor Junab Ali.

Councillor Mary Martin, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and School Attainment, said: “This was a lovely evening and a great way to show our appreciation for everything our foster carers do.

“Their dedication, resilience and inspiring attitude all year round deserves to be celebrated and recognised at events such as these and I’m thrilled with how the evening went.”

The Council is still looking for more foster carers to provide care and support to children and young people in Swindon.

If you’d like to find out more about becoming a foster carer, visit the Council’s website: www.swindon.gov.uk/fostering or give the team a call on 07917 503447.
