Safeguarding children in education

The education safeguarding team offers advice and support to strengthen safeguarding practices and procedures within Swindon’s education settings.

Key activities

The team’s core responsibilities include:

• delivering termly designated safeguarding lead network meetings
• managing safeguarding audits to ensure compliance and best practices
• providing high-quality advice and guidance on safeguarding matters
• offering single-agency training to education professionals

The team works closely with the Swindon Safeguarding Partnership and plays a critical role in supporting local multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
