School Admission Arrangements 2028-2029 consultation
The Local Authority is consulting on the proposed School Admission Arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools, the Coordinated Admissions Scheme for 2028 to 2029 for all points of entry (Reception, Junior and Secondary) and the In Year Coordinated Scheme and Catchment Areas for Maintained Schools in Swindon for 2028 to 2029 including the relevant area.
It is proposed that the Relevant Area for the 2028 to 2029 and the 2029 to 2030 academic years for all Swindon Primary, Infant, Junior, and Secondary schools, academies and free schools (including any schools that may subsequently become academies), be the geographical area of Swindon Borough Council.

The Admission Arrangements consultation will close on Thursday, 26 November 2026 and the results will be considered at the February meeting of Cabinet in 2027.
