Air quality in Swindon survey
We want to hear your views on air quality in Swindon.
Over the past two years, we have delivered a range of campaigns and initiatives to:
- raise awareness of local air pollution
- promote active travel
- encourage cleaner domestic burning practices
- reduce harmful emissions like Nitrogen Dioxide and Particulate Matter
This work was funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Air pollution is known to impact our health. It can contribute to asthma, heart disease, lung cancer and reduced life expectancy.
Why we are running this survey
In 2023, we asked residents about their awareness and understanding of air quality in Swindon before we began this work.
Now that the project is coming to an end, we are asking similar questions again to help us:
- measure the impact of our campaigns
- understand any changes in awareness or behaviours
- show how this work has made a difference
