In celebration of Coate Water’s 200-year anniversary, Art on Tour and Richard Jefferies Museum present an exhibition of artworks inspired by Coate Water Country Park.

Please view the Richard Jefferies Museum’s opening times before you visit https://www.richardjefferies.org/opening-times Artworks from the Swindon Collection show how artists in the 20th Century were inspired by its natural landscape and social history. It will include George Reason’s well-loved painting ‘The Polluted Lake’, and a new acquisition depicting Coate Farm in 1902. Art on Tour is a learning and outreach programme from Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, which makes Swindon’s art collection accessible to audiences through partnerships across the borough. Alongside Coate 200, a series of creative workshops will invite the public to create their own responses to the park. For more information on Art on Tour, go to their Facebook page - ArtonTourSwindon
