  • Remembrance Sunday Service 2025

    Join the Mayor of Swindon and civic guests at the Cenotaph, Regent Circus, for the annual Remembrance Sunday Service at 11.00am.

    The annual Remembrance Sunday Service will take place at the Cenotaph, Regent Circus, on Sunday, 9 November 2025.

    The service begins at 11.00am, marked by the first strike of the Town Hall clock, and includes the traditional two-minute silence to honour those who lost their lives in service to their country.

    The ceremony will be led by civic, military and faith representatives, including:

    • The Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Lt. Col. James Arkell
    • The Worshipful the Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Fay Howard
    • The Venerable Christopher Bryan, Archdeacon of Malmesbury
    • Reverend Mark Tidey

    Music and accompaniment will be provided by:

    • Trumpeter – Steve Yorke
    • Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums
    • Swindon Brass
    • Swindon Male Voice Choir

    The service will include readings, hymns and prayers, followed by the laying of wreaths by civic leaders, veterans, military representatives and community organisations.

    All residents are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.

  • Natures Showcase Christmas Charity Art and Craft Fair

    Artists and makers showcasing their work to raise funds for David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and Game Rangers International, wildlife charities.

    Come and join us in support of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and Game Rangers International. There will be wonderful gifts to help find that extra special gift ready for Christmas.

    Children can help Santa find his lost presents with a FREE treasure hunt and win a prize.

    It's a great opportunity to bring along the family and find out about wildlife conservation across Africa and Asia and support the charity's work by purchasing wildlife themed prints and gifts.

    Entry to the museum is not required but is highly recommended.
