Join the Mayor of Swindon and civic guests at the Cenotaph, Regent Circus, for the annual Remembrance Sunday Service at 11.00am.
The annual Remembrance Sunday Service will take place at the Cenotaph, Regent Circus, on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
The service begins at 11.00am, marked by the first strike of the Town Hall clock, and includes the traditional two-minute silence to honour those who lost their lives in service to their country.
The ceremony will be led by civic, military and faith representatives, including:
- The Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Lt. Col. James Arkell
- The Worshipful the Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Fay Howard
- The Venerable Christopher Bryan, Archdeacon of Malmesbury
- Reverend Mark Tidey
Music and accompaniment will be provided by:
- Trumpeter – Steve Yorke
- Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums
- Swindon Brass
- Swindon Male Voice Choir
The service will include readings, hymns and prayers, followed by the laying of wreaths by civic leaders, veterans, military representatives and community organisations.
All residents are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.
