Ceremony at Swindon Register Office and Ceremony Rooms

  • Two part wedding ceremony including a legal marriage ceremony at Swindon Register Office and Ceremony Rooms
  • Your choice of either a statutory ceremony or a Courtyard Room ceremony, followed by a personalised and bespoke wedding ceremony at a location of your choice  
  • Registrar and celebrant are included for both ceremonies. It also includes a meeting with your celebrant prior to the ceremony to create your unique ‘love story’ ceremony script. 
  • Dates, times and the location of ceremonies can be agreed at the time of booking

Marriage and copy certificate fees

  • Standard service - normally issued within 15 working days
    • £12.50 including Second Class post
  • Priority service - normally issued within 24 hours
    • The order needs to be received before 3.00pm
    • £38.50 including First Class post

Please note: We cannot guarantee postal delivery times. Certificates are issued in the order they are received. If you use the priority service, your certificate will be processed within 24 hours of your order and before any standard service requests.

Certificates are sent by standard First or Second Class post. If you would like recorded or tracked delivery, call us on 01793 522738. An additional charge will apply.

Cancellation and refund policy

The following terms apply to all ceremony bookings:

  • A non-refundable deposit of £65 is required to secure your booking. This covers the cost of the administrative work involved in arranging your ceremony.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least two calendar months before your ceremony date. If you book within two months of the ceremony, you must pay the full fee at the time of booking.
  • If you cancel before your ceremony date, we will refund 100% of the ceremony fee, excluding the £65 deposit
  • Swindon Register Office and Ceremony Rooms will cancel your booking if:
    • you do not give legal notice by the required deadline
    • you do not pay the final balance by the required deadline
  • All cancellations must be made in writing or by email to the Superintendent Registrar at: superintendentregistrar@swindon.gov.uk
