Tree maintenance
We are responsible for over 40,000 street and park trees, including the pruning and maintenance of trees that are situated along the roadside, in publicly owned parks and green/open spaces.
Trees are generally inspected as part of a continuous programme of work and any remedial work identified is determined on a priority basis. Situations where there is a potential risk to public safety will be given the highest level of priority.
If you wish to report a problem with a tree, please use the online form below. You will be asked to create a My Account before you can complete the form.
Due to the demand for tree works far exceeding the resources available, we have developed a process to prioritise all works to be carried out, we may not therefore be able to facilitate all requests that are reported.
You can find out more about the management and maintenance of trees by the Council in the document below:
Please note: The parish and town councils are responsible for the maintenance of their parishes, including low level tree maintenance from the ground that can be undertaken from the ground using hand tools only. They are also responsible for a number of other services including recreation grounds, parks, play areas, burial grounds and allotments within their parishes.
