Kingsdown cemetery and crematorium fees for 2025
Cremation
Cremation fees include:
- Use of chapel and Obitus music system
- Medical referee fees
- Dispersal of the cremated remains in our Trees of Remembrance Area (unattended), if requested
- Certificate of cremation
- Biodegradable container for the cremated remains
- Cremation fees include any environmental levy where applicable
- Recycling of metals through a national scheme, with profits going to charity
Cremation service
Fees for a cremation service where the deceased was 18 years old or over:
- Unattended service (including one piece of music of your choice) - £295.00
- Short service (15-minute service at 9.00am or 9.15am) - £595.00
- Early Morning Service (20 minute service) 9.30am - £795.00
- 30 minutes (20 minute service) 10.00am or 3.45pm - £895.00
- 45 minutes (allowing for a 30 minute service) 10.30am or 3.45pm - £995.00
- Additional service time (40 mins) - * £395.00
Fees for a cremation service where the deceased was stillborn or up to 17 years old:
- 30 minutes (allowing for a 20-minute service) - No fee
- 40 minutes (allowing for a 30-minute service) - £105.00
- Additional service time (40 mins)* - £395.00
*Additional service time can be applied to any service after 10.00am.
- Service overrun fee (exceeds five minutes over the allocated time) - £100.00

Ashes Niches
Cremated remains are placed within a chamber. Cost includes granite plaque, up to 80 characters inscription, urns and flower vases on a permanent lease. Two designs available:

Memorial bench plaque - Crematorium and cemetery grounds
A maximum of five plaques per bench are allowed. Only available on benches where the lease has not been exclusively purchased.

Cemetery
Fee pays for Right of Burial at Kingsdown cemetery for 75 years. All purchase fees are doubled when the purchaser/deceased is not a resident of the borough of Swindon.
