Immersion Theatre, who have been described as one of London’s most exciting and innovative theatre companies, will perform The Importance of Being Earnest in the grounds of the Swindon Borough Council-owned park this Friday (20 July).

The farcical comedy will be on for one night only on Friday. Join foppish bachelors Jack and Algernon on their latest Bunburying exploits replete with mistaken identities, icy women, trivial banter and of course, muffins!

The gates for the show open at 6pm and the performance starts at 7pm. Theatre goers are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy one of literature’s most trivial comedies for serious people.

The Importance of Being Earnest is the first of two open-air theatre productions this summer. Immersion Theatre also present Peter Pan on Friday, 24 August.

Tickets for both shows are now on sale at Lydiard House, box office telephone number: 01793 465270, or online from Swindon Theatres: https://swindontheatres.co.uk/Online/tickets-lydiard-open-air-importance-2018.
