From 6pm until 8.30pm on Tuesday, 26 November, the Library Shop will be hosting a Christmas shopping evening, giving people the opportunity to buy unique and locally-made gifts for their loved ones.
Artists Dona Bradley, Caroline Day and Simon Webb will be on hand to talk about the artwork on sale and local authors Fran Bevan and Angela Atkinson will sign copies of their books, along with our Children’s Library Patron author Steve Antony. Artist Ken White will also be on hand to sign copies of his new book.
Dona Bradley designs Swindon-themed goods, Caroline Day has a new collection she designed for English Heritage called Rose in Bloom and Simon Webb creates cufflinks and pens from locally sourced wood.
With face painting, a festive choir and the café open for refreshments, the evening promises to be the star on top of the tree.
It is even rumoured that Santa Claus himself might make an appearance.
The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend – just turn up on the night and grab yourself a treat.
