Piccadilly roundabout

This scheme is designed to improve capacity at Piccadilly roundabout (on Dorcan Way), which is on a key public transport route, to cope with additional demand which is anticipated as part of the New Eastern Villages (NEV) development.

What is being planned?

The key elements are alterations to the existing roundabout including a larger central island, widening of the road on approaches, improvements to entry deflection and improved road markings.

Controlled crossings that are more user friendly for pedestrians and cyclists will be installed and upgrades will be made to drainage facilities.

The existing bus stops on the roundabout and immediate approach are to be relocated to Dorcan Way.

When is this work being done?

Work will commence on site in early 2021 and is due to be completed in Winter 2021.
