Children's lifestyle and weight management serviceHealthy families, be food smart image

Healthy families is a fun and free children’s lifestyle weight management programme. It helps overweight children and young people and their families to reach and maintain a healthier weight.

The service provides an age specific 5 or 10 week programme for families with children aged between 5 and 16 years. Each programme is specifically designed to provide age appropriate messages, activities and behavioural change strategies that will benefit the child and whole family.

We are currently unable to deliver our normal ‘Healthy Families’ community programmes due to Covid-19 restrictions however, we still want to support you and have a number of resources that can help keep you healthy and active:

  • Up to four free phone calls with a coach where you can discuss your goals and get simple advice on being healthier and more active
  • A recommended number of appropriate free online resources from trusted partners including Change 4 Life
  • A selection of free resources including cycle maps, walking maps, home exercise booklets and the eat well guide
  • free activity list where you can pick 3 items of your choice to enjoy and explore new ways to exercise.

If you are interested in any of the above, complete the online form below:
