Country park season tickets

Country park season tickets for car parking spaces at Lydiard Park and Coate Water country parks that were valid on the day the car parks were closed in response to the Government-issued advice on self-isolation, social distancing and essential travel will now be extended by the number of days the car park was closed from their expiry date without any additional charge

This is subject to any updated Government guidance that is forthcoming during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Lydiard Park and the dual permit for both Lydiard Park and Coate Water will be up to 44 days, while Coate Water-only permits will be up to 48 days.

Coate Water-only permits

Coate Water car park closed on 28 March 2020 and was re-opened fully on 14 May 2020. This means permit holders who have a valid permit during this time are owed 48 days.

If the permit expired during this time, and the permit holder did not renew, we would owe them the time lost due to the pandemic. This is from when the car park closed to when the permit expired. If they renewed, then we need to add on the whole period of closure.

Lydiard Park permits and dual car park permits (both Coate Water and Lydiard Park)

Lydiard Park car park closed on 31 March 2020 and was re-opened fully on 14 May 2020. This means permit holders who have a valid permit during this time are owed 44 days.

If the permit expired during this time, and the permit holder did not renew, we would owe them the time lost due to the pandemic. This is from when Lydiard Park car park closed to when the permit expired. If they renewed, then we need to add on the whole period of closure.
