eMagazines, eNewspapers and eComics

Changes to digital access

Please note: Magazines and comics have moved to the Libby app. You will be able to continue to browse, borrow, and enjoy all the same magazines and comics as in the RBdigital app. You can continue to access magazines and comics via RBdigital until 30 April 2021 to allow time for you to switch over to Libby.

Our eNewspapers will not transfer over at this point but you can access them via RBdigital in the normal way until we notify you of any changes. Just tap the Press Reader icon in the RBdigital app to stream thousands of newspapers from over 100 countries and in 60 languages.

The Libby app is easy to use and will guide you through the setup process to get you connected to our library in just a few minutes. You will just need your device, your library card number and PIN number to get started.

You can download the Libby app from the IOS, Android, or Windows 10 app store. The minimum system requirements are IOS 9 and Android 5.

To get started:

  • open the app and select 'I’ll search for my library' and then enter 'Swindon'.
  • enter library card and PIN number
  • select 'next' to enter our collection of magazines and comics

You are now ready to start downloading and reading a selection of over 3000 magazines and 1200 comics.

Alternatively, you can sign in with your library card and PIN on the Swindon Libraries Overdrive website to read the magazines and comics via your browser on your PC or laptop.
