Healthwatch Swindon is the local consumer champion for health and social care set up as part of the changes to the NHS in April 2013. It replaces the Local Involvement Network (LINk). Healthwatch gives people a powerful voice locally and nationally. In Swindon it is working to help local people of all ages get the best out of our health and social care services – whether that’s improving them today or helping shape them for tomorrow.
Healthwatch Swindon is working throughout the Borough of Swindon; it’s about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local services; and it’s not just about people who use them now but anyone who might need to in the future. The Healthwatch network of organisations in each social services authority area works regionally in the south west and nationally with Healthwatch England.
