Second consultation on BT programme of intended public payphone removals
Our first consultation period on British Telecom’s proposals to remove a number of phone callboxes, has now ended. We have considered the future of each of the callboxes, reflecting on a number of different factors such as location, level of use and the responses from residents, Parish and Ward councillors and community groups.
The schedule below sets out our recommendations for each individual callbox, either objecting or not objecting to their removal. Where we object to the removal of a box, it has been necessary to provide evidence to support this.
The document below is the first notification under Section 49(4) of the Communications Act 2003 that has been forwarded to BT.
Ofcom guidance requires that a second consultation period must be carried out on the Council’s proposed recommendations before making a final response to BT. Comments on the Council’s recommendations set out in the above schedule should be sent by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
