Review of polling districts, places and stations

The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006

The above regulations require each local authority to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a five yearly basis. The reason for this review is to ensure that all electors within the Borough of Swindon have practical facilities for voting and to ensure that polling stations are accessible to all electors, including those with special needs.

We welcome comments and representations on the current polling places from residents and persons or organisations that have a particular expertise in access for people with different forms of disability. Any representations should, if possible, give alternative places that may be used as polling places.

The consultation period will commence on Monday, 8 July 2019 and representations should be submitted to arrive no later than Friday, 16 August 2019.

Comments should be sent to:

Electoral Services (Review PD)
Civic Offices
Euclid Street
Swindon
SN1 2JH

Alternatively, you can email: elecreg@swindon.gov.uk adding ‘Review PD’ to the subject box.
