Care Act, 2014

Care and support is changing!

April 2015, saw the implementation of the first stage of the Care Act, 2014. The Care Act was hailed by the government as the 'biggest reform of social care in 60 years' and introduces significant changes to the way in which care and support of adults is provided. The Act and aims to make care and support more consistent across England; so no matter where you are located, you’ll broadly be able to have the same care and support as others elsewhere in the country.

The changes are implemented in two stages ... some were implemented on 1 April 2015 and others are due in April 2016.
