COVID-19 - Adult Social Care: Support for providers

This page shows information about support we are providing to Adult Social Care providers in response to COVID-19.

It shows the type of support we are offering and the total amount of money we have spent supporting providers with whom we do and do not have contracts.

Support to providers with whom Swindon Borough Council has contracts

Support being offered

Domicillary care:

  • Additional payments to support PPE costs and other relevant Covid-19 expenditure.
  • Access to PPE supplies if unable to obtain in the market.
  • Invoices paid on receipt of invoice instead of with 30 days as per contract.
  • Regular provider calls.
  • In scope for 25% of the infection control grant.

Residential care:

  • Additional payments to support PPE costs and other relevant Covid-19 expenditure.
  • Access to PPE supplies if unable to obtain in the market.
  • Payments made in advance every month rather than mid-month.
  • Will receive 75% of infection control grant.

Other provision:

  • Additional payments to support PPE costs and other relevant Covid-19 expenditure.
  • Access to PPE supplies if unable to obtain in the market.
  • Invoices paid on receipt of invoice instead of with 30 days as per contract.
  • Regular provider calls.
  • Supported living providers in scope for 25% of the infection control grant

Support being offered

Domicillary care:

  • Regular provider calls.
  • In scope for 25% of the infection control grant.

Residential care:

  • SBC has contracts with all residential/nursing homes in Swindon.

Other provision:

  • Regular provider calls.
  • SBC has contracts with all supported living providers in Swindon.

Expenditure

Total spent to date on supporting providers Swindon Borough Council does not have contracts with in response to COVID-19 - £74,079.22 (as at 9 October 2020)
