As Swindon Borough Council offers a range of diverse services, it has a number of
separate sections (called service areas) who have responsibility for different services. The Council
also works with other government and voluntary organisations, or uses private organisations, to provide
services to you. This means that sometimes we may need to disclose your personal information internally
within the Council, or externally to other organisations.
When we notify (register) our data to the Commissioners Office, we must state whom
we may wish to disclose your personal data to. Register entries do no hold any personal information,
they only show what an individual or organisation is registered to do. The data register is open to
public inspection at the Commissioner's office Wilmslow and on the Information Commissioner website
(see below).
See: Swindon Borough Council's entry in the register for details
of what processing of personal data the Council has notified (registered) to the Commissioner's office.
If you require a copy of this, then please contact the Data Protection Officer.
Copies of all individual register entries are free of charge and can be applied
