Anti-Fraud and Corruption
In carrying out its functions and responsibilities, Swindon Borough Council wishes to promote a culture of openness and fairness and expects that elected members and employees at all levels will adopt the highest standards of propriety and accountability.
Following the publication of the Nolan Report in 1997, several well publicised cases concerning fraud and corruption within local government and the Local Government Act 2000, the Council recognises the need for an Anti-fraud and Corruption Policy.
