Charges and Deferring Payments

Charges and Deferring Payments

Paying for Home and Day Care

Adult Social Care arranges home and day care services for people assessed as needing care and/or support to remain in their own home.
The Government has given councils the choice of whether or not the charge for home or day care services, but had reduced its funding to Swindon Borough Council by the amount of income it expects the council to collect from a reasonable level of charges. The council therefore need to charge for home and day care services so that they can continue to provide them for the people of Swindon.
If you require more information on how we calculate charges for these services, please request a leaflet using the details below.
