Adult Social Care

Adult Social care includes the teams and service providers who support older people; adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health needs; and their carers.

Adult Social care in Swindon is organised into two main service areas delivered by the council:

Services for adults with mental health needs and needs associated with substance misuse are delivered in partnership with health through the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership. These services are organised into three sections:  

Improved Performance and Modernisation

Swindon Social Services Performance Improvement Plan is currently resulting in major developments to the services provided through Adult Social Care.

Our focus in Swindon is upon working closely with partner organisations, service users and carers to continue the strong progress already achieved in improving performance and modernising services.


Two Stars and Brighter Future for Adult Social Services

Swindon Borough Council’s Adult Social Care Services have retained their two star rating from Government inspectors and are going from strength to strength ........
