Foster carers come from all kinds of backgrounds. The only common denominator is that they are people who are interested and committed to helping children and young adults by offering to share their homes and their lives, for the period of time. In short, they provide that little bit of extra support when it's needed most. Each young person or child we help is unique - so we need a wide range of foster carers to help us to meet their individual needs as fully as possible.
