Watercourses

Description of Service

Swindon Borough Council is responsible for the maintenance of watercourses (including ditches, streams etc.) that are located on publicly owned land that is the responsibility of the Council (e.g. parks and gardens). Watercourses that are not situated on Council owned land are the responsibility of either the Environment Agency or a private landowner.

If you are aware of a problem with a watercourse within any area for which the Council is responsible, please provide us with details.

Service Levels

We will deal with urgent problems immediately and respond to other requests within 10 working days.
