Blocked Gullies

Description of Service

Swindon Borough Council is responsible for over 25,000 roadside gullies, which are cleaned on continuous rolling programme. When each gully is visited:

While the rolling programme resolves most problems, there may be occasions where gullies become blocked between these visits. If you notice such a drainage problem, please let us know so that we can arrange an interim/ad-hoc visit.

Service Levels

Roadside gullies are cleaned and maintained as part of rolling programme. Generally, gullies in residential areas are cleaned every two and a half years. Where a problem is reported we prioritise the individual reports based on the severity of problem.
