Visiting Swindon
Playbuilder
Playbuilder is an exciting new project that Swindon Borough Council is working on in partnership with Play England and the Government.
Over a two-year period, over £1.1m will be spent on refurbishing 22 play areas across the Borough of Swindon.
The sites that are selected will each have around £50,000 spent on developing challenging, innovative and exciting play areas, with elements of 'natural play' for children aged 8-13 years.
Working with the Community
The Council will be working with local communities, children, young people and other organisations involved with play to ensure that Playbuilder delivers what is needed.
The Swindon Play Partnership and a new Children’s and Young People’s Forum is helping the Council’s project team to develop ideas for the sites selected for Playbuilder.
There will be lots of opportunities for local communities to become involved, so please watch this space for updates.
For more information, or if you have any specific questions about Playbuilder, then please e-mail us at playbuilder@swindon.gov.uk.
The Playbuilder programme is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families; and Play England.
