Visiting Swindon
Play Parks
Swindon Borough Council believes that play is an important part of a child’s development. We are committed to providing areas, facilities and support that promotes lifelong learning and fitness, and helps to make Swindon a better place to work, live and visit.
Swindon Services are responsible for the management of 80 outdoor equipped play areas within the borough. We aim to provide well equipped, safe, clean sites so that children can play in safety.
Parish councils are generally responsible for any play areas which fall within the parish boundary.
Lists of Play Parks
For lists of all the play areas (managed by Swindon Services and by the parish councils), please follow the link to the right.
Ongoing Refurbishment
We are currently in the fourth year of a planned, ongoing refurbishment programme. Each refurbishment is carried out in consultation with local residents, ward councillors, youth groups and users, amongst others, and the information gained from this process is used to ensure the refurbished play area has the correct mix of equipment in.
