The Ridge - Getting Started

Climber Registration and Validation

On your first visit to the Ridge, you will need to complete a registration form to declare that you are a competent climber. It is advisable to obtain a 'SwindonCard' which will be programmed to recognise that you are a competent climber.

If you do not have a 'SwindonCard' you will still need to complete a registration form and will be charged an additional day membership rate every  time you visit the centre to climb.

From time to time the Link Centre facilities may be closed due to events / competitions or maintenance, For more information please click here

Equipment

Equipment is available for hire at a cost of £2.30 per item.
Members may leave their SwindonCard as a deposit whilst non-members will be charged a deposit of £5 per item. Equipment includes:

Courses

We provide a comprehensive programme of courses from three-session 'tasters' through to outdoor leading, for children (aged 8-12 years), teenagers (aged 13-16 years) and adults.
