Induction

Gym Induction - Health Hydro

We try to do everything we can to help you exercise effectively and safely. Below are some tips that will help you to help us keep you fit and injury free.

Dress the Part

It is important to dress appropriately. This means wearing comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely and keep you warm but not allow you to overheat. Footwear, too, should be supportive and appropriate to your exercise. If you are unsure, please ask to speak to an instructor.

What Your Induction will Consist of

Warm-up

Our instructors will guide you through a warm-up routine on the cardio-vascular machines. A gradual warm-up prepares the body and mind for the rest of your exercise routine.

How to Use the Equipment

Following the warm-up, you will be shown how to use the resistance equipment, how to make adjustments to suit personal needs, and you will be given information relating to the muscle groups used whilst performing each exercise.

Cool Down - S-t-r-e-t-c-h Out

Just as your body needs to warm up gradually, it also needs to cool down slowly. A few minutes spent cooling down and stretching helps you to recover from exercise more readily and minimises post-exercise soreness, and long flexible muscles help prevent pulls, tears and muscle imbalances too. Gym protocol and emergency procedures will also be explained to you.
