Session Descriptions

Swim Session Descriptions - Dorcan Recreation Complex

Classes (14+ years)

Aquafit

A water-based approach to fitness and rehabilitation for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. The buoyancy of water enables you to exercise and / or recover from injury with minimal strain on joints, improving your fitness level by working against the resistance of water in a structured, enthusiastic and supportive atmosphere. The class is taught by a fully-qualified Aquafit instructor.

For more information, times and prices, click here.

Floatation Aerobics

These sessions also provide a water-based approach to fitness and rehabilitation for swimmers and non-swimmers alike and include the use of a floatation belt. The class is taught in deeper water than Aquafit and the buoyancy of the belt enables you to exercise at a more intense level whilst being supported in the water.
