Sport Activities - Dorcan Recreation Complex

Dorcan Recreation Complex is an ideal venue for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor sporting activities. Whether you want to take part as an individual or as part of a team, receiving coaching or just spectating, Dorcan has the sport for you.

Sports Hall

The sports hall is a four-badminton-court-sized hall, which can be used for the following activities:

• Badminton
• Netball
• Basketball
• Football

All activities are for the duration of 55 minutes unless otherwise stated.

Dance Studio

We also have a dance studio which is used for:

• Ninjutsu
• Wrestling
• Fitness classes

Small Hall

There is also a small hall which is used for:

• Judo
• Tae Kwon Do
• Gymnastics
• Badminton
• Birthday parties
• Private hire

Community Room

We also have a room with a kitchen area suitable for:

• Meetings
• Birthday parties
• Courses

Outdoor Courts

Our new versatile outdoor courts can cater for

• Tennis (5 courts)
• Seven-a-side football
• Hockey
• Outdoor basketball (2 courts)
• Netball (7 courts)

Netball Dome

Our new flexible Netball Dome with tarmac floor has 2 courts and is a covered outdoor facility. The Dome has 4 walls (2 of which are fully retractable) and a domed roof. The Dome has:

• 2 Netball courts
• Officials changing room and shower
• Toilet
• Lounge area
• Sink
• Tea/coffee making facility

Equipment is available for hire from Reception at a cost of £1.40 per item plus a £5.00 deposit. A Swindon Borough Council SwindonCard may be left as a deposit.
