Garages

Garages for Council Tenants and Non-council Tenants

The Housing Property Team also deal with garages.

There are around 3000 garages owned by the Council, mainly on the larger housing estates.

In some areas there are vacant garages which are ready to let immediately.

Garages are available to non-Cuncil tenants as well as to Council tenants. However, Council tenants are given priority on the waiting list. Weekly rents are £6.83 for Council tenants and £7.40 for non-Council tenants.

Garages can be used for storage as well as for cars, but please be aware that the Council is not responsible for any items stored in a garage.

Applicants need to be over 18 and not owe a debt to the Council.
