Grassroots grants are available to help community / voluntary groups with community festivals, environmental sustainability and discretionary grants.
The grassroots grants fund has been set up to support community based activities and to help less experienced groups develop as organisations. Funding is limited to organisations with a turnover below £50,000 a year and no organisation can receive more than £1,000 in one year.
Every application should be supported in writing by a local Councillor.
The Grassroots Grants programme is £50,000 and there are four funding deadlines in each year. For 2007 the next deadline is October 1st and after that November 30th.
