About GWR Kids Appeal
Ever since GWR was founded as Wiltshire Radio in 1982, it has been committed to the belief that it is essential to secure and strengthen the links between the radio station and the communities it serves.
GWR aims to be a trusted friend that stands alongside its listeners in bad times and good and one that is attuned to issues the community cares about... ready to step forward and campaign to improve the local area.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of both listeners and business partners all over Wiltshire, the GWR Kids Appeal has raised over £2.2 million in its lifetime! The money has benefited over 11,200 worthwhile local charities and voluntary groups.
The GWR Kids Appeal is sponsored by Nationwide Building Society.
