Citizen Engagement
The Citizen Engagement Team includes:
- 1 Manager
- 3 Neighbourhood Engagement Officers
- 4 Community Development Officers
- 1 Neighbourhood Learning Co-ordinator
- 10 Learning Ambassadors
What Do We Do?
The Team is out in the community developing the Council's ability to engage with citizens in creative and meaningful ways
Because...
We know that some people don't feel the effects of the improvment in Council services. We also know that many people feel disconnected from the decison-making processes.
So...
- We can connect you to your Council and help you become more involved in service development and provision
- We help to ensure that SBC services address the needs of communities of interest
- We help you develop ways to learn from each other about addressing your community's needs
- We work in partnership across all SBC directorates and with other service providers to help keep community engagement on the agenda
- We promote community cohesion and neighbourliness
- We promote equality and diversity best practice
