Cavendish Square

Cavendish Square

Swindon Borough Council has embarked on a fantastic project to transform Cavendish Square.

The plan will see the shopping centre rejuvenated, school facilities enhanced and new homes built. It will revamp community facilities creating a fantastic place to live, play and shop.

Cavendish Square was built as a centrepiece to a new Council housing estate in the 1960s. The council is working with the community and developers to return the area to its former glory.

We intend to create a scheme of which to be proud.

Negotiations are continuing into this fantastic scheme so watch this space for further details as the project develops.

Public Meeting - 1st July 2008

A Public meeting about Cavendish Square will take place on the 1st July at 6:30pm in the Oaktree School, Priory Road, Park South. All residents are invited to attend for a chance to hear the latest news about the Square and raise any concerns with Mark Walker. If you are unable to attend but wish to speak to someone regarding Cavendish Square, please contact Mark Walker on 01793 464605 or email: mwalker@swindon.gov.uk

Residents of George Hall Court will also have the chance to meet Mark Walker about the re-development of the area on 1st July in the Communal Lounge at 4:30pm. Please note: this meeting is for residents of George Hall Court only.
