When you lose a loved one, it can be quite a difficult task to decide just how to mark their passing in the most lasting and personal way. Because a memorial is a lasting monument and a tribute to a person's life, perhaps a final gift to someone dearly loved, it is important to choose it carefully.  Hasty decisions made while still in great distress frequently result in later regrets, so it can be sensible to wait - and to spend time on selecting a suitable design.

Historically memorials have been used to commemorate the life of someone who has died.  Memorials can be wide ranging from a small simple headstone to the elaborate Albert Memorial in London.

Memorials today can still be varied and reflect individuality.  To commemorate someone who has been buried in a grave at one of our cemeteries a headstone can be erected of natural quarried stone i.e. marble or granite.  

However other forms of memorials which are available including our schemes for Trees of Remembrance and Memorial Benches.  Memorialisation for cremation again provides more scope with Tablets, Plaques or entries in a Book of Remembrance.
